Happy Friday Montessori Community!
Thank you to those who participated in our Montessori Education Night. Our teachers enjoyed having an opportunity to share their love of Montessori philosophy and the various areas in the classroom, if you were not able to come and would like to support the class you can contribute to the wish list items listed in the link below. Now that we have completed the first full week of school, I wanted to give you details for what else is coming in the month of August:

Picture Day: Wednesday, August 22nd 2018
7:30-8:30 Preschool parents will have the opportunity to take their children to the gym before school starts to take Fall School Pictures. Picture packets are in your sign in and out sheet
During the school day K-4th grade classrooms will take pictures at an assigned time.
Carters Farm Forms Due: Wednesday, August 22nd 2018
San Tan Montessori Preschool and the San Tan K-4 Montessori Classrooms have teamed up with Carters Farm to bring a comprehensive learning extension opportunity to the Montessori Classrooms. Children who participate in the learning extension will receive many benefits from this twice-monthly program including:
Understanding for vital functions of vertebrates, their diets, needs, habitats and contribution to the great community and world
– Exposure to life cycles of both mammals and the food which they eat
– Vocabulary and proper terms in relation to the animals they interact with
– The opportunity to become teachers of the curriculum to those in the younger classrooms
– Hands on experience and memories from a variety of animals including chickens, cows, llamas, horses and many more!
Soccer Shots Demo Friday, August 17th
Your child had to opportunity today to experience Soccer Shots a high energy program which introduces children to the fundamental soccer principles like dribbling, passing and shooting. Soccer shots focuses on individual skill, fitness and sportsmanship. Flyers are by your sign-in books!
Amazing Athletes Demo Tuesday, August 21st
On August Tuesday, 21st your child will have an opportunity to experience Amazing Athletes a year-round program specifically designed to enhance your child’s learning experience through movement. At Amazing Athletes, your child will learn the basic fundamentals and mechanics of 9 sports while building self-confidence, teamwork and 7 key areas of Motor development. Turn in completed forms To Ms. Cottrell.

Our First Music Together Family Night is October 24th 5:30-6:30 in the Gymnasium
