Dear Recker Families,

It is a very exciting week on the Recker Campus this week! New teachers returned today and the rest of staff return tomorrow. Are you curious about what teachers do during these weeks of trainings? I have attached our staff training schedule for the next couple of weeks!

Office Closing 

Please note the following changes for the Recker Front Office for the next couple weeks of Professional Development

  • July 17th-19th– The office will be open from 1:30-5:00
  • July 26th– The office will be closed all day

Lunch Orders

Attached is the information to order from our hot meals vendor, AZ Hot Meals.

Everyone (even returning families) will need to re-register for a new account on the system. If you are interested in participating in hot lunch for the upcoming school year, please click on the link below. All hot lunches come with a meat, vegetarian, or salad option as well as 2% white milk or water at a cost of $3.75 per day. All August lunch orders MUST be completed by end of day on July 24th.

  • Preschool – 4th Please Choose Homeroom teacher

Recker Academic Success Kit

This next year, we are asking families for $15 per child to purchase our “Success Kit”. In the success kit, will be the following items.

  1.   School Agenda- School
  2.   School Communication Folder
  3.   PBIS Rewards
  4.   Data Tracking Kit

Please fill out one form per student: Payment is due by August 1st.

Guest Teacher

We are in need of guest teachers to fill in when our teaching staff is out ill. If you have been a guest teacher for us in the past, please email Ms. Golonka at ggolonka@santancs.com to get back on the list for this school year. If you are new, please also reach out to me for the appropriate information.

Fall Sports Registration Night 

We are hosting our Fall Sports Registration Night Thursday, July 18th at 6 PM at the Power Campus Student Union. Fall Sports are open to all incoming 5th-12th Graders. This Fall we will be offering the following sports options:

  • Junior High (5th-8th Graders)
  • Flag Football (Boys)
  • Volleyball (Girls)
  • Swim (Co-Ed)
  • Color Guard
  • Cheerleading

The Fall Sports Registration Night is a great time to meet the coaches, gather information about practice times, participation fees, and learn about our athletics program as a whole. The forms needed for Fall Registration can be found on our website at: https://sports.santancharterschool.com/

Our Family Pass option is for all High School level games (Varsity and JV). We do charge gate admission at any home game. This is a great opportunity to order a pass and not have to pay at each game. It covers any High School game for the Fall Season (Football and Volleyball).

Family Engagement Committee

We are interested in restarting the Family Engagement Committee. The FEC will be helping with school events, parent groups, fundraising initiatives and organizing parent support within the classroom. If you are interested in joining, please email Ms. Heller at bheller@santancs.com

 

Help Feed Our Teachers! 

We are asking parents to help support our staff by providing dinner items during the evening of Open House. Our theme for this year is a Taco/ Burrito Bar. Please have all donation items fully cooked and dropped off to the front office by 4:30 pm. Our teachers will be getting a dinner break from 5:00-6:00. We have 50 staff members on campus this year.
