Happy Meet the Teacher Tuesday,

Our staff is so excited to meet you and your child tonight at our Meet the Teacher, Open House Event! Please see the schedule below for open house times for Tuesday August 7th, your family only needs to attend one session, please enter from the big gates next to the office and not the office door. This is a time for families to meet your student’s teachers and administrative team, learn about the San Tan Way, drop off classroom supplies, and to see your child’s classroom. There will be additional parking during these times at the Gateway Fellowship Church just North of the school, we ask that you please use this area as overflow, if you need to park in the community, please park only on the North or East sides of the road.

Open House Teacher Appreciation Potluck

THANK YOU for all of you who signed up, there are a FEW more spots.

Our teachers and staff have been busy getting everything ready to kick of another amazing school year. We are asking parents to help support our staff by providing dinner items for staff during Open House Night. We are doing an All American BBQ. Please have all donation items fully cooked and dropped off to the front office by 4:30 PM. Our teachers will be getting a dinner break from 5:00-6:00 PM. We have 75 staff on campus this year. We appreciate any and all donations.

September Lunch Menu is READY

Everyone (even returning families) will need to re-register for a new account on the system.  If you are interested in participating in hot lunch for the upcoming school year, please click on the link below. All hot lunches come with a meat, vegetarian, or salad option as well as 2% white milk or water at a cost of $3.75 per day. All August lunch orders MUST be completed by end of day on Monday August 27th.

Kindergarten Drop-Off: The first two days of school parents are welcome to walk their child through the gates to their kindergarten classroom. This can be a time you take pictures and see how excited your child is for their first day of school. We will ask at around 8:30am parents exit so teachers and their students can begin their day. On Monday August 13th, kindergarten students will report directly to their playground independently. We will have staff positioned along the way to direct children to their destination.

(1st grade-7th grade) Morning Drop-Off – August 9th & August 10th
Gates will be opened at 8:00 a.m. Students are able to enter at this time and K-4 students should go directly to their classrooms while 5th-7th graders should go to the gymnasium.  Any student dropped off at school without parental supervision before 8:00 a.m. will be signed in for the before school program offered each morning from 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. for a fee of $15 per day. Forms for prescheduling before school care are available in the front office. Please do not park in the drive-lane at any time, parents should pull all the way forward and pull out immediately after students have exited the vehicle on the right hand side. On Monday August 13th, students will report to their designated morning recess playground.

Afternoon Pick –Up
All families will be given a pick-up card on Meet the Teacher/Open House night. This card should be placed on the right hand side of the vehicle window, in a location easily visible to San Tan staff. As parents pull through the drive lane for dismissal, anyone coming early will be asked to drive through the lane again at their assigned time. Students will only be allowed to get into vehicles that have the pick-up card. Picking up students without a pick-up card requires the adult picking up the student to park and go into the front office to provide identification. Students will meet the adult picking them up in the office. The students will be ready for pick-up in the drive lane at the following times:

 

Dismissal Times: (Please have your car card to pick up child )

½ Kinder – 12:00

(Half Day Kinders in: Belt, Camba, Owings, Norgren)

Kindergarten-1st Grade– 3:00pm

(Full Day Kinders in: Camba, Owings, Norgren and 1st Graders in: Klingert, Reuss, Gregersen)

Montessori Elementary & 2nd Grade – 3:15pm

(Calvey, DeWyke, Al-Marridi, Esposito, Jury, Johnson)

3rd Grade & 4th Grade–  3:25pm

(Kim, Thomas, Winters, Olson, Lewis, Pjura, Taylor, Yocklin)

5th-7th – 3:35pm

*All families with multiples students should arrive at the pick-up time of the oldest sibling* Younger siblings will wait in the cafeteria in our siblings area until older sibling arrives*
