Errington Edition 8/28

 In Branding

Good Afternoon,

Another amazing week as a San Tan Roadrunner! Our students are doing an impeccable job at refining their routines, expectations, small group rotations, and finalizing MAP testing. I appreciate all of your support during drop off and pick up as well as the support you give your child at home. Our clubs started this week, please be sure to review the CLUBS FAQs attached to this email. I have also attached Mr. Fuentes’ Athletic Updates if you should have any questions on all the exciting athletic events that are occurring this week.

Our goal to enhance the security of San Tan Charter School. To accomplish this, we have started a campaign to raise funds to install security systems on both the Power and Recker campuses for the 2018-2019 school year. gofundme.com/santan

This system is comprised of three parts:
• First, we will install a visitor screening system at the front desks called LobbyGuard. Learn more. (THIS HAS BEEN FULLY FUNDED)
• Second, we will install impact/shatter-resistant 3M Safety and Security Window Film on all the windows on campus.  Learn more. (WE ARE GETTING CLOSE)
Lastly, we will install 16 new surveillance cameras to cover entrances and outdoor common areas which will log multiple days of activity.

For just $47 per student, this project will be fully funded. gofundme.com/santan
Thank you for your donation in this initiative to keep our students safe. gofundme.com/santan

We are so excited you’ve been able to log into Infinite Campus. If you did not receive the online log in and activation key, your child should have a letter with the same information. The app is also ready to use if you just search San Tan Montessori Inc., then add in your personalized login information. Remember we are still working with Infinite Campus on refining our gradebook but all the other features such as schedule, attendance, contact information, etc… are available. Please be sure to make any corrections on contact and emergency information for our records.

Art Masterpiece Training

Art Masterpiece is a parent driven, volunteer, art program that allows elementary students to experience a variety of art education lessons and activities. We will be having a training Thursday September 13, 2018 at two times: 9am or 6pm. Please designate which training you would like to attend. This training will be provided by a few very experienced Art Masterpiece parent volunteers Mrs. Leatham, Ms. Veziroglu, and Mrs. Zapytowski.

The teacher will remain in the classroom during your lesson to help facilitate. Then the magic happens and the kids just adore the process as much as the product. For middle school, we are doing monthly activities so I will have a cohort of volunteers who will work with Mrs. Simonton, the Assistant Principal, to schedule lessons. We are planning two art walks that will coincide with the music concerts. This is where volunteers will showcase their classes art work.

Play Math 2018-2019 School Year Volunteer Program

We have an exciting opportunity for volunteer training coming September 12 from 11:45-12:45 or 5:30-6:30 PM. This is for our PLAY MATH PROGRAM. Play math is a neurocognitive motor math program designed to teach children ages 5-12 math facts and factors. Meet other parents and volunteers and learn fun ways to help your student or other children be successful in learning their math facts.  School volunteers work with small groups of 4 or 5 students by counting, skip counting, and working on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts while playing games and through physical movement.  Students will be excited when you come to volunteer since they enjoy playing the games and feel successful.  A volunteer for this program can participate any day of the week at a times which are convenient in your schedule. If you have questions please contact Marthana Hall by email at mhall@santancs.com .
