Errington Edition 4/30
We went right from AZMERIT testing to MAP testing! Our kids and teachers never cease to amaze me in how flexible and resilient they are. We are in our last month of school and have so many interactive events to celebrate a year’s worth of hard work. Please see below for some of the events we will need parent volunteers for. Thank you to all of you who have already volunteered your time or money for our teacher appreciation luncheon. Also, be on the lookout for the invite at the end of the week for the Academic Ceremony on May 17, 2019 at 4:30pm in our Recker Gymnasium.
A friendly reminder that Friday May 10th is a HALF DAY OF SCHOOL.
Teacher Appreciation Luncheon- May 9, 2019
In recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week in May, we want to provide a luncheon in honor of our teachers and staff. They eat with their students each day and don’t often have quality time to just spend lunch together as a team. We are asking for your support by helping us supervise their recess and lunch as well as any monetary donations that can be made for a catered lunch. We are in need of about $800.00 to have a fancy luncheon catered by Zappone’s Italian Bistro and Catering ( http://www.zapponesbistro.com/). We will have another staff member or administrator in the lunch room when our parent volunteers are there supervising. This will provide our teachers quality time together and acts of service which is what they do for our students each day!

Safety Campaign
We’re incredibly grateful for the contributions that were made towards our campus safety campaign last year! We feel very blessed that our roadrunner family has supported our commitment to student safety. By close of 2018, our community donated almost $8,000 that helped pay for campus safety upgrades. Even though we didn’t reach our goal of $40,000, we were able to put these funds towards impact-resistant window film and blackout curtains for the classrooms.
We still need your help to add more security enhancements in 2019. Please visit our GoFundMe page to see the campaign’s current status and see how you can help!
