My Bio

Hello! My name is Janie Tomasek, this is my 4^th year teaching as a PE Teacher and Art Teacher at San Tan.  I started my 1^st year working here in the Montessori.  I was in Preschool for couple of months then moved over to the Toddler room for a full year.  Then moved over to become a full-time teacher!

I grew up in Illinois and attended Elmhurst College where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts.  In 2014, I moved out here to be closer to my Niece and Nephew and to get away from the cold and snow.

When I’m not teaching, you can find me coaching volleyball, working out, swimming, hiking, relaxing at home and enjoying time with my family.  I enjoy working out but I took a break from running; so far I have run in 8 half marathons, 15ks, 10ks and little 5ks.  I also coach volleyball here at San Tan.  I have been coaching for 19 years now.  Go Road Runners!! Let this year begin!
