Dear San Tan Families,
What a fantastic first day of school we had! It was such a joy to see all the students back on campus and in classrooms! Drive lane was also a huge success due to your flexibility and kindness- Again thank you so much!! Here is to Day 2!!

Drive Lane Reminders
Parking Pick Up
1) Please park in a designated parking place off of Elliot or Recker Road
2) Please make sure to use the cross walk to make sure all are safe
3) Bring your car tag and show the number to a Drive Lane Staff Member
4) Your student will be paged from the classroom to drive lane
Drive Up Pick Up
1) Come in off of Recker Road
2) Make sure that you have prominently displayed your car tag in your window!
3) Stay in your car, we have staff helping get students into cars
4) We cannot buckle students in, if you would like to help your student with the car buckle, please park and walk up with your car tag to collect your student.
5) Keep the car line moving as best and as safely as possible
Paper Drive
Our annual beginning of the year PAPER DRIVE is in full effect TODAY. The class with the MOST points will receive a teacher reward for participating is $150.00 classroom fund. Write your teacher’s name on the paper and send it to the front office. 5-6th should put their HOMEROOM teacher on their writing. Here is how the points work:

Volunteers
Want to join us on a field trip or volunteer on campus? You will need a fingerprint clearance card. Visit https://www.azdps.gov/services/public/fingerprint or scan below. They are good for 7 years!

Student Academic Expectations and Accountability
Everything related to school policy can be found in our student handbook. Please take the time to go over the handbook with your students. The handbook also includes our dress code policy.
Sports Sign Ups
Sports registration is officially open for the 2023-2024 school year! Reminder that all athletes are required to fill out and complete a sports physical in order to participate in their sport.
Please keep in mind student-athletes will only be able to practice and compete in games once complete registration and payment has been made. Student-athletes cannot participate in practice or games if their sports physical is not completed, so it is imperative to complete the physical exam prior to the team’s first practice!
The STCS Athletic Department will answering questions in the gym at Open House.

Technology
San Tan Charter utilizes student laptops to access curriculum for many of the classes at the Power/Recker Campus. Please be reminded there is a $250 annual lease for a school device and a $50 annual fee for registering a personal device. If families choose to bring their own device, please be sure your Chromebook is compatible with the network by using the Approved Technology List and please be mindful that all student owned Chromebooks will need to be secured on our Google Enterprise for Education.

This is our hot meal program when lunches are ready to start ordering. Attached are the instructions to sign up for My Hot Lunch Box.

Guest Teachers
We need guest teachers to fill in when our teaching staff is out ill. If you would like to guest teach for us, please email Ms. Richardson at srichardson@santancs.com to get back on the list for this school year.
Family Engagement Committee
At San Tan, we do not have a PTO, we have the Family Engagement Committee! The FEC will be helping with school events, parent groups, fundraising initiatives and organizing parent support within the classroom.
