Errington Edition 8/21
Happy Dr. Sippel’s Birthday-Eve,
If you are not aware but today is a special day. It’s the day before Dr. Sippel’s birthday! If you are driving through the drive lane tomorrow give Dr. Sippel a special birthday hello. We have a lot of great events happening at San Tan such as picture day, beginning of the season sports games, and continuing MAP testing. We have a special announcement going out on this week in regards to Infinite Campus, be on the lookout in your email and in your child’s backpack.
Picture day is quickly approaching, TOMORROW. Pre-orders for picture packages may now be placed online at https://ios.mydorian.com using your school’s access key provided here K88LSPCD. Online pre-orders using your school’s access key are available up to 4 days after picture day.
Our goal to enhance the security of San Tan Charter School. To accomplish this, we have started a campaign to raise funds to install security systems on both the Power and Recker campuses for the 2018-2019 school year. gofundme.com/santan
This system is comprised of three parts:
• First, we will install a visitor screening system at the front desks called LobbyGuard. Learn more. (THIS HAS BEEN FULLY FUNDED)
• Second, we will install impact/shatter-resistant 3M Safety and Security Window Film on all the windows on campus. Learn more. (WE ARE GETTING CLOSE)
• Lastly, we will install 16 new surveillance cameras to cover entrances and outdoor common areas which will log multiple days of activity.
Everyone (even returning families) will need to re-register for a new account on the system. If you are interested in participating in hot lunch for the upcoming school year, please click on the link below. All hot lunches come with a meat, vegetarian, or salad option as well as 2% white milk or water at a cost of $3.75 per day. All August lunch orders MUST be completed by end of day on Monday August 27th.

Arrival and pick up are going extremely well for only one week of school under our belts. We finished drive lane yesterday before 3:50!! We are aware that unpredictable events occur in terms of pick up but for events planned in advance please communicate to your child’s teacher and/or the front office ASAP. It helps to have this information as close to 2:30 as possible to ensure students are in the appropriate placement at the end of the day. Another support in the drivelane is securing students in car seats in a parking space instead of getting out and buckling. This is a true time saver for those waiting in line. Thank you again for all your support.
