This will be my eighth year teaching at San Tan. I am so happy to be part of the San Tan family!

I have taught various age groups throughout the years; but, especially enjoy Kindergarten. To me, Kindergarten is all about trying and learning new things, making friends, and a tremendous amount of social and academic growth. My goal as a teacher is to instill in my students a love for learning. I will be encouraging my students to be responsible classroom citizens and to strive to do their best in all academic endeavors.

I connect with the children in my class through recognizing their positive contributions to our classroom family and tapping into individual interests. I also use lots of singing, music and movement to engage students’ interest in learning.

One of my favorite things I like to do outside of school is photography. I am always looking for new places to explore and interesting or beautiful things that catch my eye.

What I enjoy most, however, is spending time with my family. I am mom to three children—two boys and a daughter. We like watching movies, singing, dancing and cooking together. 

One interesting fact about me is that I am first generation born in America. Both my parents immigrated to the United States from Germany in the early 1960s. I have had the privilege of visiting family there on a few occasions, but not nearly enough.
