4th Grade Teacher

My Bio

Hey there! My name is Jazzael Taylor, and I am super excited to be joining the San Tan Charter family this year! I grew up in California and moved to Arizona when I was almost 10 years old. I grew up in the East Mesa area and went to high school at Desert Ridge High. After high school, I attended Arizona State University where I obtained a bachelor’s degree of arts in education. During this time, I married my husband of 10 years and had our daughter Hannah. After graduating, I began teaching in the Gilbert area, and continued to do so for the next 6 years, with many enjoyable memories and experiences made along the way, one of many being the birth of my son, Charlie! After my 6th year of teaching, my family relocated to a small Caribbean island of Nevis as my husband continued his education there. While in Nevis, I homeschooled my children, as well as 6 others, and had the fortune of teaching grades K-3 all at once. Although very challenging, especially at first, I believe this experience helped train me to become a better teacher. I had to quickly adapt to each child’s level of knowledge and accommodate to each of their learning styles. When I wasn’t teaching on the island, I was out exploring with my kids and our new friends. We went on my hikes, boat adventures, visited our neighboring islands and attended different cultural events! The beach is one of my favorite places to be so being surrounded by the warm Caribbean Sea made me one happy person! We had an incredible time on Nevis. We learned so much about ourselves and others while we were away, it definitely holds a special place in my heart. I am excited for this new chapter and I can’t wait to see what our new adventure will bring!
