5th/6th Math & Science Teacher

My Bio

Bonjour! My name is Dr. Ashley Love and I am excited to be a part of the San Tan Charter family. I have an amazing two-year-old son named Austin and a cute little puppy named Baxter. I have taught 3rd, 5th/6th, and my most recent was 2nd grade for the past four years. My main focus has always been teaching the whole child and building strong relationships, so the students can be successful both in and outside of the classroom.

I grew up in Arizona and moved to Boston when I was 18. I have been working with children for the past thirteen years, only to take a little detour into the legal world after law school. My passion still remained with children as I received my doctorate from Suffolk University Law School focusing on criminal child abuse and family law in Massachusetts. When I moved back to Arizona, I went back to helping and teaching children on an academic level and completed my Master’s in Elementary Education at Grand Canyon University.

Through my experience, the one important key factor has always been communication. The important aspect of my teaching is to build a positive relationship with your child and make them feel at home and safe in our classroom. The goal is to help all children form a supportive team in a respectful learning environment.  Parent communication is a big part of that. I do not anticipate any obstacles that cannot be solved this year with communication and cooperation.  My lessons are designed to be fun, encourage critical thinking, support one’s answers with logical explanations, and inspire further exploration. (Maybe there are a few future attorneys in the class).

When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, writing, playing with my son, and cooking. I look forward to getting to know you and your child and I am excited about the upcoming year filled with learning and fun!
